Design Layout and Applications Assistant
Lightology LLC, the premier contemporary lighting showroom in North America is looking for the best Lighting Design Layout and Application Assistant to join our growing Sales Team. We offer the widest selection of domestic and imported lighting fixtures, lamps and lighting products in our 20,000 square foot showroom, located in the heart of Chicago's River North gallery district.
As a Lighting Design Layout and Application Assistant, you will provide lighting assistance to our retail and commercial customers, and assist with development of recommended lighting solutions. With a strong goal oriented work ethic, your involvement will contribute significantly to Lightology's trend setting philosophies. You will also have some knowledge of residential and commercial lighting and lighting controls, but primarily have a passion and desire to work with Home Owners, Restaurants, and Light Commercial Design Projects.
As our ideal candidate, you are proficient with the following software:
Must have Auto CAD, AGI 32 Lighting Calculation, and Microsoft Suite that includes Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. In addition to your proficient knowledge of software, your talents will also consist of knowledge of luminaire photometric data, able to perform lighting calculations, point by point, lumen method. Have an understanding of NEC and UL codes. You are a self-starter, have excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and are organized.
Your experience in working with trade professionals, i.e. interior designers, architects, contractors, developers and display houses is a big plus.
