An architect from Milan, Pierluigi Cerri began his career in 1974 working for an Italian graphics company. As an editor of graphics, Cerri was able to further his knowledge of interior design through his exposure to interior design graphics. In the 1980s, Cerri left the world of graphics to pursue a career in interior design, mostly in the designing of furniture, but also in an array of other disciplines. For example, Cerri notably won the International Superyacht Design Award in 1994 for achievement in the field of yacht design. Having designed furniture, graphics and even yachts all over Italy and the world, Pierluigi Cerri has earned the reputation of being one of the most versatile and successful designers in the world.
