Fukurou suspension designed by Issey Miyake is part of IN-EI collection. This collection uses material that comes from the regeneration of the fiber of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles - an innovative project based on a mathematical program and the wise use of the latest generation sources to create a unique relationship between light and shadow. This technology consumes a third less energy than the production of a material derived from petroleum. Fukurou requires a 17 watt, 120 volt, LED retrofit bulb sold separately. 24.19W x 22.44H. The Fukurou Suspension is truly an example of art meeting light. Meaning "owl" in Japanese, this piece unfurls from its collapsible design like a bird opening its wings. The 22.44"H x 24.19"W fixture, using only 17 watts of LED light, is made from a unique form of the material named PET (a regeneration of polyethylene terephthalate bottles) that creates a unique relationship between light and shadow.
