Saucer Wall Sconce
The George Nelson Bubble Lamp Saucer Wall Sconce is constructed with a 2 inch thick solid walnut wall mount and a Brushed Nickel steel arm. Shade is a taut White plastic coating over a steel wire frame. The arm has a swivel hinge and an adjustable 12 foot plug in cord with a counterweight that allows for height adjustments. This clever design allows one to adjust the sconce from left-to-right, and up-and-down, without having to change its position on the wall. Requires one 120 volt medium base incandescent lamp up to 150 watts, not included. UL listed. Made in USA. Dimensions: 16.75 inch height x 23 inch depth. Shade is 17.5 inch diameter x 7 inch height.

Originally created for the Howard Miller Clock Company in 1947, George Nelson’s Bubble Lamp line became an instant mid-century modern classic. As design trends changed, Bubble Lamps were discontinued in 1979. Modernica revived the iconic line for contemporary homeowners in the late ‘90s, offering the Bubble Lamp collection manufactured according to the exact original specifications. Modernica also gave names to the fixtures for the first time. Bring a piece of design history home with Bubble Lamps, which are also permanently on display at the MoMA in New York. Made in the USA.
