| Anne will discuss the techniques used and the challenges faced in commercial lighting and sustainable design. A broad spectrum of projects fall under the catagory of "commercial lighting", however the success of each lighting design is based upon the implementation of basic lighting techniques, creative design solutions, and sustainable lighting systems. We will review the importance of a balanced mix of performance and aesthetic lighting fixtures to achieve a desired feel in commercial spaces such as offices, public spaces, museums, retail, hospitality venues, and exterior facades. Also, I will demonstrate the simple elements of daylighting, energy-efficient lighting design, and control systems and how to integrate them effectively to develop a sustainable lighting design. |
