Presenter: Chris Ferguson, IESNA
Chris has been practicing as an Architectural Lighting Designer for nine years. His main design focus has been designing fine residential homes. Chris is also an award winning luminaire designer for commercial and residential applications. His design work has been published in several local and national design magazines. He won "Home of the Year 2004" in a juried competition held by Metropolitan Home Magazine. He is on the board of managers for the local IESNA chapter. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art and Design from the Kansas City Art Institute. He has taught college level lighting and luminaire design

Chris will demonstrate practical but effective lighting design techniques for residential applications. Areas will include lighting for kitchen tasks, accenting geometry for art and architecture, and various techniques for subtle reading light placement. Attendees will be given access to accent geometry calculators, beam spread and lens selection tools, and formulas to calculate chandelier sizes.
