Zuckerberg SF Hospital

Explore this stunning concept for an inspiring new cafe space at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, imagined by visionary designer Gordana Jordanovska of Studio GOGA.

Part of the extensive renovations at ZSFG include a new cafe for hospital staff, visitors and patients. Gordana Jordanovska worked closely with Fidele Bauccio, CEO and Cofounder of Bon Appetit Management Company, as well as her core team to design a healing environment for people to relax and recharge. Her concept envisions spacious interiors and welcoming outdoor spaces that promote everyone's well-being.

She chose products from PureEdge Lighting to guide people throughout the facility and breathe new life into every room. According to the designer, "PureEdge Lighting has allowed my imagination to be realized. It's like painting with light."

Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the interior in natural light. They also provide a clear view of the lovely outdoor terrace and herb garden, a veritable oasis for visitors, staff and patients to gather and enjoy some fresh air. Streamlined and serene, this thoughtfully composed space invites everyone to linger, relax and recharge.

The lighting in this concept is equal parts intentional and inspirational. TruLine from PureEdge Lighting effortlessly flows up and down walls and across ceilings, providing helpful guidance while creating a dynamic and clean look for the space. It installs neatly into the drywall, making expensive retrofits unnecessary and reducing installation costs overall.

In addition to charming custom wall sconces designed by Studio GOGA, Gordana Jordanovska uses PureEdge Lighting's Verge in a variety of ways throughout the design, creating either bold accents or a warm glow for the entire room.

The renderings for this state-of-the-art facility reveal Gordana Jordanovska's unconventional approach. Carefully chosen fixtures like the halo-shaped pendants in the airy "Heroes Lounge" complement the strong architectural lighting, bringing emotion to the space.

She describes her passion for lighting: "It informs all aspects of my designs. From work surfaces to artwork, from the ceiling to the floor, it is the most important element in the final touch of the spaces I design. It sets the tone for our lives."
