The Daphine Cloe Desk Lamp is based on Lumina Italia's classic Daphine Desk Lamp, a timeless synthesis of function and form with a pivoting diffuser mounted on an articulated arm. Daphine Cloe replaces the technical look of the original model's base with a sleek, semi-circular base. This update gives the lamp a clean, contemporary aesthetic perfect for an office or on a bedside table. On/off switch located on base.

About Tommaso Cimini
Tommaso Cimini (19471997) was an influential Italian lighting designer and entrepreneur, best known as the creator of the Daphine lamp and the founder of Lumina. Early in his career he worked as a technician at Artemide, where he developed a keen sensibility for simplicity and mechanical clarity. In 1975, he introduced a prototype of the Daphine - a lamp with articulated arms, an exposed transformer, and a minimalist diffuser - embodying his maxim lots of light, not much lamp. In 1980 he founded Lumina in Sedriano, working with designers such as Walter Monici, Riccardo Blumer, and Yaacov Kaufman to expand a catalog of elegant, technically refined luminaires. His work continues to be celebrated for its purity of form and integration of function.
