Specification Sheet / Technical Files
Carlo Colombo was born in 1967 in Carimite, Italy and graduated from the University of Milan in 1993, immediately beginning a career in furniture design that continues to this day. He has won numerous awards multiple disciplines such as architecture, interior design, furniture design, and lighting design, most notably "Designer of the Year" which was awarded to him in Tokyo in 2004, when he, at 37, was much younger than the rest of the big names of the design industry. Colombo's work in both lighting and furniture can be recognized by his use of curved, minimalist designs that draw the eye to their fluid figures. Colombo's pendants, by Artimede, continue this fluid design motif to create a masterpiece of interior lighting that can be the highlight of any room.
