    Would the somerset pendent work over a 36 inch high island with an eight foot ceiling? If yes, how many fixtures would you suggest with a 117 inch long island?

    Answer
    The 11.5” Somerset pendant will work over your 117” island. Ideally, we want it to hang 30 to 33” above the island surface. This can be achieved with the 11.5” wide medium pendant by using the 12” extension stem that is provided in the box. As for quantity, I would recommend a total of 3 pendants spaced roughly 27”-30” apart. I will also mention that a lot of the design trends are showing larger scaled pendants over islands. If you wanted to go larger, you could go up to the 15.5” wide version and use a 6” extension stem. The preference is completely yours but both sizes will work over your island.

    is this damp rated? I want to hang it over a freestanding bath tub.

    This fixture is dry rated so we would not recommend handing it in a damp location.
