Melt Mini Surface Light, features beautifully distorted globes that create a mesmerizing melting hot blown glass effect. Translucent when on and mirror-finish when off, it emits an attractive, mildly hallucinogenic light. Finished in Copper, Chrome, Smoke or Gold. May be mounted as wall or ceiling light. Not intended for outdoor use. UL and cUL listed. Wet listed when used as a wall light. Designed in London.

    About Tom Dixon

    Self-taught British industrial designer Tom Dixon is Creative Director of his eponymous London design studio specializing in lighting, furniture, and home accessories. Clean lines and minimalist silhouettes with mid century modern influences are the hallmarks of Tom Dixon lighting, which come to life in a diverse array of metal finishes.

    Housed in museums like the Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of Modern Art New York (MoMA), and the Parisian Centre George Pompidou, Tom Dixon's pieces have become contemporary design icons. He became a household name in 1996 when he designed Jack Light for his company, EuroLounge. In 1998 Tom became the head of design at Habitat and later transitioned to Creative Director for the company until 2008.

    In 2007, Dixon launched Design Research Studio, an architectural/interior design and product development studio with high-profile projects including London's Shoreditch House, The Royal Academy of Arts, and Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa.
