Answer
This light has a minimum 10” overall mounting height from the ceiling to the bottom of the light. This would be enough clearance mounted to an 8’ ceiling if you are walking under the light. Please keep in mind though, the leather would have to be cut in order to get to this mounting height.
Will the Harbourview Linear Pendant will work on a sloped ceiling?

Answer
Unfortunately, it will not work with a sloped ceiling. Since the fixture is not attached and only rests in the leather straps it could slide out.
