The No. 1 Side Table was originally created by Helge Sibast in the late 1950s as a gift to his wife. For many years only three of these bespoke pieces existed as treasured heirlooms of the Sibast family, until Anna and Ditlev Sibast, the current owners of the family-run company, decided to reissue this classic design for the modern market. This minimalist side table features an oak frame accented by a black glass or white marble tabletop, and its simple but elegant expression will complement any interior.

About Helge Sibast
Helge Sibast (1908 - 1985) created a number of iconic chair designs in the mid-20th Century that helped popularize Danish Modern design and are still in demand today. In 1908 Sibast's father founded Sibast Mobler, a furniture and cabinetmaking company, where Sibast learned the joinery trade and developed an eye for design from an early age. After their father's passing in 1943, Helge Sibast and his two siblings took charge of the company, where he was put in charge of design, product development, and production.
Sibast's designs are marked by the exploring the potential of wood as a material and the development of new production techniques. His chair designs are elegant and sculptural, offering uniquely complex forms made with expert craftsmanship.
