Maud Gj. Bugge
Maud Bugge works as design manager and artistic director at Hadeland Glassverk in Jevnaker and Porsgrunds Porselnsfabrik in Porsgrund. She started as a designer at Hadeland Glassverk in 1989 and became design manager in 1994. She has a master's degree from the Department of Ceramics at the Norwegian School of Craft and Art Industry. Among other things, she is known for combining techniques and having a playful shape without too tight lines. There is nevertheless a certain Nordic purity in the products she prepares and classic techniques are often the basis. Twisted optics, spun threads and air bubbles are combined to create the right product and Maud Bugge is also known for collaborating with other artists and artistic expressions to get the result she wants. Bugge was originally trained in another material - clay, but glass design became her primary passion when she first came into contact with glass. Although Bugge has put ceramics on the shelf, she is still developing as a visual artist. The time alone at the easel is fruitful. There she creates expressions which she then develops into decorations on the glasses.
