Ashley Clark discovered that it's not always easy being both designer and client at the same time. She started the process of building the new family home right when COVID hit, which presented a number of obstacles and delays. Designed by the visionary Bob White of Forest Studio, this house is a place made to make memories.

A spacious game room invites family and friends to play and enjoy. The striking Vertigo Pendant floats above, adding sculptural contrast to the clean geometry throughout this space. Charming and compact, the Muse Portable Table Lamp adds to the clubhouse feel. The Bouquet Three-Light Chandelier by Le Klint brings the California coastal vibe into the bath.

Overhead lighting throughout the home adds texture, contrast or structure, elevating each room with varying effect. The sleek, modern Keenan Chandelier by Crystorama exudes a soft, diffused glow for a sitting room that opens to the spacious backyard and pool. The whimsical Waverly Pendant complements the lively patterns and textures in a cozy bedroom. A delicate pendant floats in the hallway, bringing a flourish to what could otherwise be an overlooked space. Consciously curated, the layers of lighting in every room bring distinction and warmth to a beautiful family abode.

This home beautifully illustrates how the right lighting can both reflect and elevate your own personal style. From dainty wall sconces to found industrial pendants, from eye-catching chandeliers to minimalist, rustic fixtures like the "Well Indoor/Outdoor Pendant" by vintage-inspired lighting brand Original BTC, every piece makes perfect sense in its place.

Vintage elements add unique charm and nostalgia throughout the home, like the framed number 4 sign in the dining room. Equipment, tools and artifacts become art on bedroom walls, reflecting the interests of their active residents. From room to room, the house on Candlestick Lane is a master class in timeless design - and a love letter to family fun.
