Thank you for you inquiry installation instruction have been added to the product page located under Spec Sheet / Technical Files tab. According to the manufacturers installation instructions you can secure the outlet box directly to the building structure.

My husband and I are very happy with our fans. Attractive and work well. The wood color matches the graining in our LVP flooring perfectly, so the fan adds to the rooms decor instead of just being a fan that serves a function. The remote is very nice to have as well. No compaints.

This is the 3rd Modern Form fan I have bought all from Lightology. The first one was a bit challenging to install. Instructions could be a bit better but my electrician had little problem. The second Modern Form fan was a breeze to install.
Now comes the 3rd one the Aviator. It came in damaged from the factory. We did not realize until installed and start up. With a call to Lightology and talking to their team was able to take care of the issue in great time. Well done Lightology.
The things that I like the most is the app that is available from Modern Form. I am able to control all 3 fans from this one app and also set up schedules for the fans to run. The one tip I could give when using the app is if the fan does not connect close the app and reopen. After reopening give the fan a few seconds to connect. You should see a cloud in the left corner.
I am enjoying my Modern Form fans and Lightology is great to work with and stand behind their product.

I never paid this much for a fan and I have never been happier. A month down the line I am still giddy. I bought 2 and then bought a 3rd when I saw how spectacular they were. Silent, efficient -- push a lot of air. Level one will just push enough to give you the faintest breeze. They will be easy to clean. Five different speed and light settings. Alexa and phone control as well as remote..
