Susana Rodriguez

Susana Rodriguez was born in Burgos, Spain in 1969, but moved to Valencia where she studied Fine Arts (sculpture and engraving). There she met Leo Gomez with whom I did several art exhibitions, published two children books, auto-edited a wooden game for kids and had a daughter.

Susana joined Lladro's design team in 1997 and from 2006 to 2017 headed the design department of the company.

From 1999 to 2002 Susana did a weekly collaboration with a couple of magazines (economy and fashion) but after the birth of her daughter decided to focus on children illustration. She has published several books with IMAGINARIUM and has collaborated as well with french company FLY developing a collection based on one of my characters.

Susana started to make patterns out of her drawings and found it quite fun, and as a result has a collection of patterns that is growing bigger.

One of Susana's most recent collaborations was with swedish company IKEA, creating a range of textile products for babies.
