Francesc Rife

Francesc Rife (b. 1969) founded his Barcelona studio in 1994, where he currently leads a team of designers from a variety of fields. Influenced by minimalism and a tradition of craftsmanship, his designs often explore the nature of the material, size, and geometric proportion. Rife's studio is involved in a wide range of projects both domestically and internationally, including architecture, industrial design, interiors, graphics, and art direction. He has received awards from Contract World, Red Dot, ICFF Editors and has published several books collecting his designs. In addition to his work as a designer, Rife also leads workshops and conferences.
