About Richard Hutten

Richard Hutten (b. 1967, Netherlands) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1991 and began his own design studio the same year where he specializes in product and interior design. He has also been involved with Droog Design, a leader in contemporary Dutch design, since its founding in 1993. At the heart of Hutten's designs is a desire to embrace play as culture, resulting in designs that are fun and optimistic as well as beautiful. His works have been featured in the permanent collections of prestigious museums such as the Museum of Modern Art New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum London, and he has received awards such as the Red Dot Award and the German Design Award.
