Inspired by their background in architecture and their family business of glass-making in Venice, husband and wife duo Renato Toso and Noti Massari founded Toto, Massari & Associates in 1996. They have been involved in a wide variety of large-scale projects including schools, exhibition venues, and monasteries. Their small-scale projects include home furnishings, fabrics, lighting, and glass objects. The group's work has been exhibited in museums around the world, among which are the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Louvre in Paris, and the MOMA in New York City.
