The Hipatia Portable Lamp features an integrated LED and rechargeable battery, allowing it to be placed anywhere additional lighting is needed. Hipatia takes its name from the Greek Neoplatonic philosopher, whose achievements in mathematics and astronomy helped lay the foundations for modern science. The lamp's cylindrical form and fluted texture evoke the look of a classical column. Hipatia also includes a built-in dimmer and remote control to adjust the brightness. The lamp is IP64 rated for protection from low pressure water spray, but the charging base must be used in an indoor, dry location.
