The Capsule Wall Light is a clever design by Clarence Mallari that can be hung with the solid optic crystal shades facing vertically or horizontally. The sconce is also technologically savvy, as it is fitted with an integrated LED. The brushed-brass metal will gleam just as brightly as the lightly frosted glass will when the lights are switched on.

About Clarence Mallari
Clarence Mallari is a senior lighting designer at Currey & Company, where he shapes expressive, finely crafted fixtures rooted in material storytelling and artisanal technique. Mallari leans into the tactile potential of mixed media - braided rope, wrought iron, hand-woven wicker, seeded glass - combining them into forms that feel both organic and rigorously composed. His designs often reference historical - and sometimes whimsical - sources: for example, his Quennell chandelier evokes the seeded glass canisters of classic lanterns, while his Emmental chandelier plays on concentric rings inspired by the look of Swiss cheese.
