The Pylon Chair was originally designed in the early 1990s as Tom Dixon's attempt at creating the world's lightest metal chair. Pylon is a celebration of the triangle as a geometric form, which has been repeated throughout the chair's structure in a lattice-like network to provide support. The thin steel rod and open space between them gives the chair a light, airy aesthetic.
