First off, this fan looks great! It's sleek and modern and a great replacement for my old clunker. So, why the low scores? This fan is not as functional as it is fashionable. It is all form and no function. The motor is so loud--humming away at a constant middle C. I cannot sleep with it on I any higher than the lowest setting, which doesn't allow for enough airflow. Second, the light is so bright it could fill up a soccer stadium at night with its radioactive glow. I never turn it on. While it was easy to install and looks nice in our bedroom, it is now just an expensive ceiling decoration rather than a functional item.
