Based on the installation instructions the bottom of this fixture is open. If you are looking for assistance selecting a bulb that provides more of a diffused light please contact our sales department.

Beautiful!
Thisbis a very nice, modern looking pendant light. This light is large enough that I hung it in my entranceway. It is sleek, modern, elegant design that is timeless. I love this pendant light! Ps) my husband said it was easy to install.

This Generation Lighting - Norman Large One Light Pendant in Satin Brass is so very beautiful! It is very modern and looks amazing in my dining room. It was super easy to install and I always get tons of compliments on it anytime I have guests.
