The Kate Ceiling Light's slanted shape was inspired by the hat worn by the Duchess of Cambridge for the 70th anniversary of the English jubilee. In addition to creating a stylish silhouette, the shade's 15 degree inclination diffuses the light in an unexpected way. Kate's unconventional form gives it an architectural feel that will redefine any space. Phase cut dimming.

About Francesca Smiraglia
Francesca Smiraglia (b. 1983) graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 2008 with an emphasis on lighting and product design. Since founding her own studio in 2016, Smiraglia has continued to work in those fields, as well as expanding into interior design, illustration, and brand identities. Her designs explore the relationship between humans and their environment as well as formal aesthetics and functionalism.
