Woven tubes and luminous elements form an airy dome on the Skynest Pendant. Each light is powered by micro-connectors at the top and covered with woven mesh, with a white inner side for optimal light emission. The dome rim is fitted with an aluminum ring for structural integrity while a balance system at the top ensures stability. The canopy is plastic, painted in the same finish as the rest of the pendant.

This pendant is environmentally friendly, its mesh made of recycled and recyclable fabric. It is also assembled without any glue, allowing it to be fully separated for recycling in the future. The Skynest is a great option for those seeking a beautiful, sustainable and innovative lighting solution.

    About Marcel Wanders

Known by the New York Times as the “Lady Gaga” of design, Marcel Wanders is nothing short of exceptional. Netherlands native, Wanders graduated from Hogeschool voor Kunsten in 1988 at the top of his class. It didn’t take him long to gain recognition once he opened his own studio (1996) and released his iconic Knotted Chair produced by Droog.

In 2001, he co-founded the highly praised design label, Moooi, of which he is the art director. Wanders continues to thrill the design world with his countless product and interior projects, many of which have been featured in acclaimed exhibits such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco, London’s Victoria & Albert, Amserdam’s Stedelijk, and many more. Wanders has also been featured in a number of popular magazines – Elle, Esquire, Blueprint, Nylon, Design Report, to name a few.

His work gives new life to industrial design by adding romance and whimsy from different historical ages. He consistently entertains, surprises, and enlivens our spirits with his ever evolving creativity and cleverness. While Marcel Wanders is the definition of success, he has never forgotten his mission, which is to “create an environment of love, love with passion and make our most exciting dreams come true.”
