The Vargueno Chair features a gently curved silhouette accented by a wooden base with an elegantly carved pattern along the bottom of the seat. Vargueno takes both its name and design cues from the elegant ornamentation of traditional Spanish vargueno cabinets. Although Vargueno is inspired by the craftsmanship of a bygone era, the modern lines of the linen upholstered seat can also complement a contemporary dining room.

Laura Kirar is the founder and creative director of Laura Kirar Design. With a degree in sculpture and interior architecture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Laura brings to her work a passion for artistic expression that encompasses a variety of mediums.
From tile and bath fixtures to furniture, accessories, and lighting, Laura Kirar has collaborated with and designed interior furnishings for companies like Ann Sacks, Baker Furniture, Carnegie Fabrics, and Boyd Lighting, among many others. Her recent collaboration with Arteriors Home has yielded a fresh and exciting collection of lighting fixtures. Heavily influenced by her extended stay in Mexico, Kirar’s collection exudes both casual sophistication and an organic, authentic charm.
