      Great Light!

      • Quality: Exceptional

After I ordered the Nightowl I was worried that it wasn't going to be bright enough because it reminded me of those LED book lights with flexible necks. I had second thoughts and also worried that the beam would be too narrow to be of real use for reading. I've had that experience with LED flashlights before. Anyway, it arrived in perfect shape, the installation was easy, and I disvocered that I needn't have worried at all. Works great, and I even use it on the lowest setting. Even though it was easy to install, I'm giving it 4 stars because the instructions were terrible. I was able to figure it out quite easily, but they might be pretty confusing to some people.

      Well constructed, pleasing light

      • Quality: Exceptional

Took a bit of a gamble given the price of this light and not seeing it in the flesh. In retrospect, very pleased with the purchase. Well built with quality materials. 3-way toggle on-off is dainty but solid with a nice tactile click between settings (on low, off, on bright). Light quality is also pleasant, not incandescent-warm but not far off and nothing near the cold-white or full-spectrum-white that are the most common complaint about LED-based lights. Also light is diffused by a frosted flat lens. Neck is also high-quality and should stand up to years of adjustment. Have to agree with other opinions that instructions are limited, but if you take your time to look over and study the mounting plate it should not be more than half an hour to install the light.

Great lamp, low power, excellent quality. it wont disturb your bed-fellow. The only thing that kept it from five stars was the price.
