Installation is a breeze because wiring connections can be made within the fixture instead of in the electrical box, allowing the housing (with integrated LED ring) to be mounted immediately. The metal surround is of good quality (both the white exterior and gold interior of my unit are evenly finished), and the glass dome is evenly frosted. The significant weakness of Boop is that the LED ring fails to illuminate the center of the dome, so there's a obvious dark spot in the middle. Consequently this unit is probably a good choice only if it will usually be left off, such as in an office used during daylight hours, or if easy installation is a very high priority.
