No way to turn light completely off when fan is on. Dim light emiited when fan on.

Lightology's response: We're sorry to hear about this negative experience! Upon further investigation, we have confirmed with the manufacturer that light controls can malfunction if the installation is not properly grounded. Modern Fans has instructed that this issue can usually be remedied over a phone call with their technical support team.
