The Pinecone Round Pendant, designed by Paola Navone for Fontana Arte, has a striking appearance that will make an impact when illuminated or switched off. Featuring a blown glass diffuser created by using the ancient caged blown glass technique in which the glass maker blows the molten glass into a metal cage to only partially contain the glass's natural expansion. As a result the glass surface is partly trapped and is also able to party escape the cage, which gives the diffuser the brilliant surface enhanced by this depth.
