With its low, rounded profile, generous padding and sumptuous upholstery detailed with buttons, the Vilhelm Sofa is a paradigm of comfort. The three seater design was created by Flemming Lassen in 1935 and takes its name from the designer's father. Looking to the mid-century movement for its design cues, it offers functional comfort, considered craft and a beautiful form. Reintroduced in 2019 and updated to modern needs, Vilhelm's high back and armrests offer privacy, while its exaggerated seat cushion provides lush comfort enhanced by sheepskin upholstery.

About Flemming Lassen
Flemming Lassen (1902 - 1984) was a Danish architect and designer who, along with his brother Mogens Lassen, is credited for pioneering Functionalism in Denmark and developing the Danish Modernist style. In 1929, Lassen and Arne Jacobsen won a Danish Architects Association competition for their "House of the Future" design, and they started their own office the following year.
Inspired by Mies van der Rohe and Bauhaus principles, Lassen's designs are characterized by simple, well-defined lines with a focus on function and experimentation with novel materials. His use of organic curves would become a hallmark of the Danish style, and many of his iconic furniture silhouettes are still in production today.
