Ahlux

Ahlux is the design studio founded by Augusto Grillo (b. 1954). Drawing upon his experience as the manager of Panasonic's European research center, Grillo explores the connections between aesthetics, technology, and functionality in his designs. From 1993 to 2001, Grillo worked as the Managing Director of VillaTosca Design Management Centre, a company which developed innovative methods in various phases of design, from trend research to product design. In the second half of the 1990s, he frequently collaborated with Lumen Center Italia, where he experimented with new light sources. Grillo is currently Visiting Professor at TAMA University of Art and Design in Tokyo.
