Jean-Francois D'Or

Jean-Francois D'Or graduated from ENSAV La Cambre Brussels in 1998 with a degree in industrial design. After working for several months on a project in New York, he was hired by Belgian Light brand, where he worked with established designers such as Maarten Van Severen and Hans De Pelsmacker. D'Or began his own design in 2003, where his approach is centered around fulfilling users' needs in a way which enriches their environment. His designs are often simple, unpretentious, and clearly perceptible, while also offering a uniquely discreet poetry. D'Or was voted Belgian designer of the year in 2013, and he continues to collaborate with brands and have his works exhibited around the world.
