Felicia Arvid
Danish designer Felicia Arvid (b. 1994) began her career in dressmaking and fashion design at the age of 18, when she sold her first fashion designs. Wanting to explore other creative fields, she studied Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art. In 2018, Arvid exhibited at Salone Satellite, leading to a collaboration with Caimi Brevetti that would eventually produce Arvid's 2022 Compasso d'Oro award-winning design for the Klipper acoustic panel. In addition to fashion and furniture, Arvid has recently entered the field of lighting design.
Arvid's approach to design is informed by her experience working with fabric and transforming a flat material into a three dimensional form. Her education in architecture provides an awareness of construction, materials, form, and function. A common theme in Arvid's designs is the repetition of simple shapes to create a unique expression.
