Finn Juhl

Finn Juhl (1912 - 1989) was a Danish architect and designer who was instrumental in introducing Danish Modern design to the world. As a youth, Juhl was inspired by art and originally wanted to pursue a degree art history before ultimately deciding on architecture, which his father deemed to be a more proper profession. This artistic influence continued to inspire Juhl throughout his career. While his designs embody the idea that form follows function, Juhl often displayed a sense of artistic freedom that distinguished him from his contemporaries.
