Umberto Riva

Born in Milan in 1928, Umberto Riva was a visionary architect and designer whose work spanned urban planning, architecture, interiors, installations, and product design. After graduating in 1959 and beginning his professional practice the following year, he became known for his thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach and distinctive design language. Throughout his career, Riva received numerous honors, including appointment as a Fellow of the Accademia di San Luca in 1998 and the Gold Medal for Architecture from the Milan Triennale in 2003.
