Paolo Crepax
Paolo Crepax is an Italian designer and glass artisan rooted in the Murano tradition who has made a distinctive mark in lighting. Born in Murano in 1960, he began working with master glassblowers as a child and later established his own furnace and studio, evolving his practice from decorative glass toward experimental lighting design. He is especially known for his Damasco collection for Vistosi, in which he employs the "bozzolo" technique - manipulating molten glass threads over a translucent core to create organic texture and inner luminosity. Crepax's work fuses technical mastery with expressive surfaces, bringing a fresh vitality to Venetian glass in contemporary lighting.
