The Castore collection for Artemide was designed by Michele De Lucchi in collaboration with Huub Ubbens, blending poetic simplicity with refined technical design. Introduced in the early 2000s, the series, comprising table, floor, wall, and suspension lamps, is distinguished by its glowing, spherical diffuser balanced on a slender, tapering stem that softens the transition between light and structure. This elegant gradient of light became a signature of the collection, embodying Artemide's philosophy of "The Human Light." De Lucchi and Ubbens combined sculptural purity with ergonomic function, creating a timeless family of luminaires that harmonize seamlessly with both domestic and architectural environments.
