Johan Lindstén

Johan Lindsten (born 1981 in Sweden) is a designer whose work spans lighting, furniture, and accessories under his studio Johan Lindsten Form. He studied industrial and furniture design in Stockholm and founded his studio soon after graduation in 2008. Lindsten's lighting builds on human scale and tactility: his Gear series for Northern, for example, incorporates manual levers for user adjustment rather than automated control, and his Meltdown lamp projects soft modular forms while retaining unexpected detail and emotional resonance. His designs strive to bridge industrial production and expressive nuance, giving objects personality, surprise, and a quiet narrative presence.
