Answer
While this trim is UL Listed for use in wet location with outdoor rated lamp, the manufacturer does not recommend it for outdoor use. . This is because it has a steel trim ring flange and rivets and other metal components that will corrode if placed outdoors. It won't happen immediately, but these components are not intend or treated for this type of environment.
