Natural light is entwined in our DNA. It makes us feel happy, wakes us up in the morning, keeps us focused during the day and calms us down as the sun sets. We fill our homes with windows, inviting natural lighting in as much as possible - it has a direct and impactful effect on our mood.
Every architect and designer knows, natural lighting is not always a realistic option. Garden units, compact condos, malls, gyms, hospitals, schools - floor plans often don’t allow for expansive windows, or sometimes, any windows at all. In these instances, artificial lighting is crucial, and mimicking the effects of natural lighting is key.
CoeLux takes this idea to the next level, with a line of artificial skylights meticulously engineered to deliver the effects of a sunny, daytime sky. Each CoeLux lighting system casts a virtual sun in a sharp blue sky, casting shadows and - with some clever installation - can move across the room in real-time with the actual sun. There are even versions mimicking the night sky, complete with stars.
Imagine skylights in a basement unit. Sunny skies in an otherwise drab hospital or nursing home. Daytime alertness in otherwise-windowless classrooms. The options are endless.
CoeLux High Tech 25
Pure magic: The CoeLux High Tech 25 reproduces the light of the sun and the sky in just a few centimeters of advanced technology — creating the sensation of natural daylight that’s perfect for use even in settings with limited installation height. Just 25 cm thick, it is suitable for installation in plasterboard or modular false ceilings. This versatile, modular artificial skylight can be installed in a number of different arrangements. Replicating the light of the sun, the CoeLux High Tech 25 projects a beam of light slightly larger than the frame itself — enhancing colors, textures and objects in a soft, diffused glow.
The CoeLux High Tech 25 is available in two versions: Classic and Smart Sky. The Classic version appears as a bright blue sky and has a dimmer function. Smart Sky recreates the passage of time from sunrise to sunset, with colors and light intensity gradually shifting throughout the day. Use your smart home system (DALI and 0-10V) or the CoeLux app to create the perfect CoeLux experience.
CoeLux High Tech 25 Mini
The compact CoeLux High Tech 25 Mini recreates the colors of the natural world by reproducing the sensation of sunlight and the blue sky. It is ideal for small- to medium-sized domestic and business environments. A concentrated area of infinite blue diffuses a beam of natural light to focus attention on an object or a specific area. This extremely versatile artificial skylight can be installed on a ceiling, vertically, or on a sloping wall or roof. It is IP65-rated, making it suitable for use in wet environments like bathrooms and spas. The product is available in two versions: Classic provides dimmable illumination while Smart Sky replicates the gradually changing colors of the day.
CoeLux Sky Line
The CoeLux Sky Line artificial skylight uses a minimalist, linear wall washer to project the sensation of sunlight onto the wall as a bright yellow band of light at a 45° angle. The soft blue light covers a wide area around the main beam itself with greater intensity towards the top of the wall and a more diffuse light towards the bottom. This compact recessed luminaire is just 12 cm thick, perfect for installing individually in small spaces or with other CoeLux products. The Classic version brightens up interiors, while the Smart Sky version accompanies you throughout the day, changing color and light intensity from sunrise to sunset. Whatever the installation, it can be synced with your smart home system (DALI and 0-10V) or controlled using the CoeLux app.
CoeLux 45 HC
CoeLux® 45 HC is the largest of the CoeLux systems. Measuring about 1.5 m2, it can be installed on the ceiling — faithfully reproducing a blue sky and a bright sun. This advanced high-tech system is the first CoeLux product on the market since 2014, recreating a feeling of depth and infinite space. The system emits a 45° beam of light. When it passes through the CoeLux panel, it projects a warm spotlight with defined outlines. Diffused light with a strong blue component similar to the luminous effect of the sky, slightly colors the shadows inside the space. The CoeLux 45 HC system is also available in the Sun & Moon version: a spectacular night-time scenario that reconnects us with the first celestial object we can see clearly with the naked eye: the moon.
CoeLux 45 LC
The CoeLux 45 LC is the smallest High-End (HE) window, measuring approximately 0.5 m². It can be installed on the ceiling and faithfully reproduces a blue sky and a realistic defined sun. Perfect in rooms with medium heights, the system produces a 45° beam of light to create a warm light spot with defined contours, enhancing the shadows and volumes of the objects. Like its larger counterpart, the CoeLux 45 LC system is also available in the Sun & Moon version: a stunning night-time reproduction that brings the magic of this celestial object into your space.
CoeLux 45 Square
CoeLux 45 Square is the only system in the HE family that can be installed on the wall. Ideal for spaces with low ceilings, it recreates a square window measuring about 1 square meter. The sensation of depth perceived by the observer is amplified by the geometry of the system: in the mirror placed on the ceiling and through an elaborate system of optics, the sun is reflected, precise and bright. In the room, a soft beam of warm light at 45 degrees naturally contrasts with the shadows and volumes of the objects. The light that diffuses into the room is comfortable and natural.
CoeLux LS Ice
CoeLux® LS (Long Sky) can reproduce the sun and a bright infinite blue sky. It’s possible to install CoeLux® LS ICE on its own, as a modular system or in combinations to create long lines of light. When the sunlight reflects on the frame, it creates a 45-degree sliver of light as well as a sliver of light in the opposite direction - making it ideal for spaces like offices and shops that require a good deal of light. CoeLux® LS ICE is DALI-compatible and can be integrated easily into a control system.
CoeLux LS Matte
CoeLux® LS (Long Sky) can reproduce the sun and a bright infinite blue sky. Install CoeLux® LS MATTE as a single unit, as a modular system or in combinations to design hallways of light. The sun reflected on the matte white frame creates a 45-degree sliver of light, producing comfortable light for people in the room. Ideal for restaurants, shops and public spaces, CoeLux® LS is DALI-compatible and can be integrated easily into a control system.
CoeLux LS Array
Observing the layout of the CoeLux LS Array and moving in the space below, a sun with shaded outlines seems to follow the observer: a play of optics creates the illusion of a slight movement that gives realism to the system. The infinite modularity of CoeLux LS Array allows you to create long corridors of sky. Each module is interrupted by a small geometric element that divides the window into two equal parts. The light spot on the wall, interspersed with small areas of shadow, gives an extremely realistic effect to the composition.
