Light the Night 2026

Chicago's design community gathered under one roof for an evening of craft, light, and conversation.
Some of the design world's most coveted brands filled our showroom for Light the Night. The turnout was tremendous, with guests moving through the space from the first pour to the last song on the rooftop. From small studio brands to imported icons, each brought something different to the room. Here's a look at what made them stand out.

Food, Drink & Live Music
A lavish spread ran the length of the night. Passed hors d'oeuvres like crostini and strawberry lobster endive circulated the room, while separate grazing stations offered burrata, figs, prosciutto, and rosemary goat cheese boards. Expansive cocktails spanned five separate bars, from Bellinis and Negronis to Kir Royales and French 75s, Manhattans and Cosmopolitans, and the Southside, alongside a full wine and beer list. Heartier bites like truffle fries, a New York steak plate, shrimp chorizo skewers, and chicken and waffles kept guests fueled, and dessert closed the night with passion fruit pannacotta and affogato. The Ring of Music, a beloved Chicago blues band, played upstairs on the rooftop into the evening.

With plates and glasses in hand, guests wandered the showroom, where the real story unfolded: brand partners with their own point of view, organized here by shared design sensibilities.

Scandinavian & Contemporary Minimalism
Ferm Living began in 2005 when founder Trine Andersen designed her own wallpaper after failing to find one she loved, growing since into a Danish house spanning furniture, lighting, and textiles, known for soft-edged, matte finishes and a sensibility that reads calm rather than cold. Audo Copenhagen formed in 2023 when Menu, known for collaborations with Norm Architects, merged with By Lassen, longtime steward of Danish modernist icons, uniting over a century of heritage under one house. NUURA builds Danish chandeliers and pendants from mouth-blown glass and natural stone, and Astro Lighting rounds out the group with sophisticated, minimalist British designs.

Sculptural Glamour & Industrial Edge
Regina Andrew builds sculptural lighting from alabaster, wood, and hand-blown glass. Arteriors has built a name on eclectic, artisan-crafted work since 1987, and Kalco and sister brand Allegri round things out with hand-forged fixtures and crystal chandeliers. On the bolder side, Kuzco and sister brand Alora stay ahead of the curve with trend-forward LED fixtures and mood-driven styles, Buster & Punch works in solid metal, industrial-edged pieces out of London, Dainolite showcased its custom capabilities, and Montclair Light Works closed the group with made-to-order, color-forward American craftsmanship.

European Design Icons & Reissues
Louis Poulsen, a Danish house dating back to 1874, showcases icons like the PH Artichoke in its own dedicated room, built on the belief that form should follow light. Flos, founded in Italy in 1962 with its own dedicated shop in the showroom, is known for icons like the Arco floor lamp and decades of legendary design collaborations. DCW Editions carries Paris-born reissues like the Lampe Gras and Mantis. thesis, Established & Sons, Italamp, and Ferroluce round out the group with pared-down transitional forms, British furniture built alongside contemporary designers since 2005, and handcrafted Italian glass, crystal, and ceramic work.

Specification & Architectural Systems
PureEdge Lighting, founded right here in Chicago, builds architectural LED systems that disappear into walls and ceilings. Neo Architectural brings precision-engineered European lighting brands to architectural and hospitality projects across North America, and IM Design Concepts represents B.lux's Spanish-made systems and CTO Lighting's handcrafted London fixtures. Legrand rounds out the wiring devices and lighting controls that make it all work.

Thank you to our brand partners, our team, and every guest who joined us for Light the Night, we're already looking forward to next year.
