When reimagining the two bathrooms in the home of Rue Magazine Editor Kelli Lamb, designer Patrick Maziarski of Beau Geste Interior Designs took two different design approaches: One more spa-like, and one more energetic. The results are luxurious, serene and invigorating. Photography by Amy Bartlam for Rue Magazine.
The idea behind the entire home renovation project was to create a "favorite hotel" feel throughout - and the bathrooms beautifully achieve this aim in their own unique ways. The primary bathroom has an avant-garde feel rich in contrast and drama. The fluted oak vanity adds texture and is almost pedestal-like, showcasing the minimalist washbasin above. Framing the mirror are the streamlined and versatile Tie Stix Wood Linear Adjustable Wall Lights from PureEdge Lighting.
The secondary bathroom offered enough room to accommodate Lamb's request for a bathtub. Wrapped in warm cedar with contrasting deep green patterned tile, this sanctuary feels like an oceanside retreat. Providing gentle light here are the TMM Largo Wall Sconces, featuring cylindrical parchment shades that lend a rustic note.
