Designed by Marc Sadler for Slamp, Poppy is a scalable fixture that suspends delicate-looking blooms in air. Each flower is crafted using a patented hand-molding process called technoforming, making every piece truly unique. The blossoms glow with integrated LEDs as they appear to float in space, connected in series with nearly invisible silver-coated copper wires.
Each flower is made of three layers of Slamp's patented Lentiflex material joined by a black pistil in the center. The red-lacquered brass stem of every bloom is suspended from a silver-color cable, available in a variety of lengths. One of every seven flowers in each is airbrushed in red by Slamp artisans.
Poppy is available in clusters of either 7 or 14 flowers, which can be arranged as desired to fit spaces of all sizes. It's possible to hide the LED driver in the supplied round canopy or a dropped ceiling for a lighter, more elegant installation.
