Designed by Pauline DeltourRead Bio
The light Mecato Bench is a minimalist piece that allows the beauty of Colombian craftsmanship to take center. It's a design by Pauline Deltour, who found the inspiration for the piece when visiting the Colombian province of Nario. Suitable for all indoor environments, the stool's seat is covered with a handwoven fabric made with the fibers of the Iraca palm. Its cover has a slightly corrugated texture, making it very pleasant to touch.

About Pauline Deltour
Born in Landerneau, France, Pauline Deltour set up her studio in Paris in 2011. Interested in the contrast of rigor and finesse, she sees her designs as an expression of her own personality.
Precise lines characterize her shapes, which she elevates by carefully choosing materials and color, so form and surfaces enhance each other. Pauline draws inspiration directly from the materials and their characteristic properties to develop shapes that combine function and a sensual poetry.
She's interested in creating products that make a strong first impression but also invite people to be curious about the finer details of an item no matter if that's a small stool or a large standing mirror.
