Celebrate six decades of an undisputed design icon with the Flos Arco K Limited Edition Floor Lamp, a special release commemorating the 60th anniversary of the legendary Arco Floor Lamp. Each lamp in this exclusive series is meticulously numbered and made to order, signifying its unique place in design history. Inspired by the elegant curve of a streetlight, the original Arco, designed in 1962, features a distinctive swooping adjustable arm that gracefully suspends a sleek, spun aluminum shade. Its robust, weighted base provides exceptional stability without occupying extensive floor space, ingeniously incorporating a hole for easy lifting and beveled edges to eliminate any rough corners.
For this extraordinary limited edition, the traditional marble base is reimagined in stunning, clear lead-free crystal, offering a contemporary minimalist aesthetic that beautifully complements any modern interior. A convenient button on the cord provides intuitive on/off functionality and allows for continuous dimming down to a subtle 10%, enabling precise control over the ambiance. The Arco K is more than just a lamp; it's an innovative, visually captivating masterpiece, perfect for adding a touch of luminous artistry over a dining table, a sofa, or as a commanding sculptural element in your living room, becoming a cherished heirloom for generations to come.

About Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni
Achille Castiglioni - The life and career of Achille Castiglioni, bears witness to the preeminence of Italian postwar design and its relationships with architecture on one hand and industry on the other. Like many of his compatriots, it is via architecture that Achille Castiglioni came to design and it is through direct relations with industry that he was able to realize his daily-use objects that have accompanied the modern way of life.
Pier Giacomo Castiglioni received numerous prizes and awards, including the “Compasso d’Oro” in 1955, 1960, 1962, 1964, 1967, 1979. He exhibited at every Milan Triennale from 1940 on, winning many awards. For the latter, based on the theme “Leisure time, living time”, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni was a member of the Executive Committee. His works have been displayed and are currently being exhibited at museums worldwide.

FLOS was founded in 1962. The very same year FLOS lighting began producing a number of lamps that were to become classics in Italian industrial design. From the very outset, FLOS has been distinguished by its high quality approach to lamp design and production. Many of the numerous lamps designed for FLOS are undoubtedly some of the best-known and most successful products of industrial design. They have won awards and historical-critical accolades, and are included in all the most important collections and design museums around the world. Some significant product examples over the last forty years are: Parentesi (1970), Brera (1992), Fucsia (1996), Rosy Angelis (1994), the Romeo Moon (1996), Archimoon (1998) series and the recent Diabolo (1998). Throughout the nineties the work of Achille Castiglioni and Philippe Starck has been flanked by a series of products from new and other designers. This reflects a desire to keep the attitude to discover the most talented designers to maintain FLOS leadership in innovation.
