About Jason Miller
Jason Miller is a Brooklyn-based designer and the founder of Roll & Hill. He is known for his elegant and historically rich work, which often takes inspiration from nature and the decorative arts. Miller's early work was more conceptual, including duct-taped chairs and cracked vases. However, he soon realized that he preferred making things to documenting them. He received an MFA in painting and spent time in both the art and advertising worlds, but ultimately decided to pursue a career in design. Miller's work has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, Elle Dcor, and The New York Times. He has also won numerous awards, including the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Product Design.

Roll & Hill is an American design-minded furniture and lighting company based in New York, known for its high-quality pieces made in collaboration with independent designers. Founded in 2010 by Jason Miller, Roll & Hill's mission is to create exceptional, handcrafted furniture and lighting that reflects a modern American aesthetic. Roll & Hill is committed to using American materials and manufacturing techniques. Their pieces are made by hand in their own facilities in Grand Rapids, Michigan, using high-quality materials like brass, bronze, leather, wood, hand-knotted rope, and mouth-blown glass. Roll & Hill works with a talented roster of independent designers, giving them a platform to showcase their work and create unique pieces that wouldn't be possible through mass production.
