Unlacquered Brass is a living finish, meaning it will darken and patina over time. Polishing will restore the sheen if desired.

About Jessica Helgerson
With a French mother and an American father, Jessica Helgerson spent her childhood summers in France and the school year in Santa Barbara, California. This international upbringing inspired a love of both countries and cultures, which would ultimately have a profound impact on her design work. After briefly working in an architecture firm after graduation, Helgerson realized that no firm was doing quite the type of work she wanted to do, and so she founded her eponymous studio in 2000.
Although her firm has expanded into new avenues, Helgerson remains at the heart of her studio's design direction over 20 years later. In addition to product and interior design, she has been involved in projects such as: Front of House, an installation gallery in the front of the JHID office; XUXO, a collaborative which imports crafts from indigenous communities in Mexico; and a new branch office based in Paris.
